Originally cultivated in the rich, volcanic soils of France, French Lentils have a delicate, peppery flavor & beautiful blue-gray coloring. Very high in fiber, they also provide iron, zinc & vitamin C.
Sort & rinse. Bring 2 cusp water * 1 cup lentils to boil, reduce, & simmer for 30-40 minutes or until tender. Drain & serve.
Suggested uses:

Cook with traditional French herbs like sage, rosemary, terragon, marjoram & thyme.

These lentils remain firm when cooked, so use them for salads & long-cooking stews.
