What is a non-soap cleansing bar?

Non-soap bars were developed over 50 years ago specifically for people with skin issues. Unlike traditional soaps, they are pH balanced. This does two things: 1) It makes them suitable for people with red, itchy skin conditions; and 2) It allows them to carry delicate ingredients, such as borage oil.

 

Why are they so uncommon in the stores?

Traditional bar soap has been make in the same way for literally thousands of years. It is widely believed that this method is more natural and closer to nature.
