We are driven by a mission to connect tea drinkers to the origins of our teas. For us, that is the essence of being a direct trade importer. Rishi’s tea buyers travel the world every year, collaborating with artisan tea farmers during the peak growing seasons. This allows us to source organic teas and botanicals of an epicurean caliber, infusing everything we create with a signature quality and story. In that adventurous spirit, we invite you to Taste True Tea.
Fuller Flavor / Deeper Aroma / Richer Body
Introducing the Novel Knit Tea Bag
Unlike common paper tea bags – which strip away the flavor and aroma of tea – the Rishi tea bag features a novel knit material designed to provide a truer infusion of the organic teas and herbal ingredients. The result is an incredibly aromatic, full-bodied cup that tastes just as rich as loose leaf tea.
• Flavor Story •
Jade Cloud is hand-harvested in early spring when the leaves are most tender, delicate and sweet. More sweetly still, this Fair Trade green tea provides healthcare support, access to education, and other improvements to the livelihoods of over 1,200 tea farming families in the Xuan En Tea Co-op in China’s mountainous Hubei province.

Sourcing Notes:
This bright, fresh green tea is grown in a pristine high-mountain climate in Hubei. Here we work with tea artisans as the Xuan En Tea Co-op to cultivate organic teas using both local and introduced tea bush cultivators of prized quality. Spring harvests are crafted by both steaming and traditional roasting into a lively, savory tea inspired by the classical Chinese green tea known as wulu, or “Jade Cloud.”
