Chatfield’s Gluten Free Carob Chips — 12 oz

Chatfield’s Carob Chip Cookies

Makes about 3 dozen cookies

2 cups all-purpose flour

3/4 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 3/4 sticks butter, softened

1 cup Chatfield’s Date Sugar*

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 tbsp milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 large egg

1 cup Chatfield’s Carob Chips

Preheat oven to 375° F. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. In a larger bowl, beat butter, Chatfield’s Date Sugar, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until creamy. Add egg and beat well. Gradually fold in flour mixture. Stir in 1 cup Chatfield’s Carob Chips. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

* Can be substituted with 1 cup of brown sugar.
