Our Skunk Odor Remover uses enzymes – nature’s way of keeping the earth clean. Enzymes dissolve the organic wastes that occur from dead trees, plants, animals, insects and birds. Our enzyme formula works the same way! It digests and eliminates the actual odor-carrying oils in skunks’ spray, removing the overpowering scent. Use on dogs, cats or any critter your family has as a pet. Great for areas your pet has come in contact with, like clothes, bedding, rugs, carriers, kennels and even water-safe upholstery and drapes (please test these first in an inconspicuous area).
Shake well before using. For the initial treatment, it’s best to use immediately after your pet has been skunked (before shampooing, so the product is not diluted). Saturate the affected areas thoroughly, Work ECOS™ for Pets! Skunk Odor Remover into fur as if it were a shampoo, so that is reaches all areas. (If you think your hands may be sensitive to the oils in the skunk’s spray, its’ a good idea to wear gloves). Keep the formula on your pet for several minutes so the enzymes have time to work (you can even let them air dry). Following the treatment, we recommend that you use ECOS for Pets! Conditioning Shampoo. The treatment can be repeated for any lingering odors.
